The Center for Reform of School Systems is offering a pre-conference symposium which explores the importance of collaboration among school district leaders. Collaboration: Reform Governance Starts with Teamwork will examine the critical relationships among board members and between board members and the superintendent; identify political pressures that may stress the governance team; and provide tools to resolve conflict and create the foundation for stronger working relationships. The symposium features a mix of case studies, governance lectures and small group activities. Individuals or district teams are encouraged to attend. The registration fee is $100 per participant. To register, please complete the CGCS registration form (available at www.cgcs.org) by October 4, 2010.
