CRSS congratulates our colleagues in Gwinnett County Public Schools on being named the winner of the 2010 Broad Prize! We have had the pleasure of knowing and working closely with the Gwinnett school board and administrative leadership team over the years as they have been avid participants in our Reform Governance in Action program. (We also wrote a case study about their reform leadership, which many of you may have read and discussed at one of CRSS’s institutes or on-site workshops.)
We are proud and delighted to see Gwinnett County Public Schools’ accomplishments being recognized on the national stage and look forward to continuing our work with this talented team as they continue along the reform path they have been pursuing.

Note: The Broad Prize is an annual $2 million award created by The Broad Foundation to honor urban school districts that demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement, while at the same time reducing achievement gaps across ethnic groups and between low-income and non-low-income students.
