Mike Moses

Senior Advisor

Former Texas Commissioner of Education, Mike Moses holds the Distinguished Meadows Visiting Professorship in Educational Leadership at Texas A&M University at Commerce.  He also serves as an instructor and guest lecturer in the university’s educational leadership department and is chairman of the board of the American College of Education, which develops education programs for teachers and administrators.  Moses has been superintendent in Dallas, Lubbock, La Marque, and Tatum.  Additionally, he has been an administrator in the Duncanville and Garland school districts.  From 1995-1999, Moses served as Texas Commissioner of Education, appointed twice by former Governor George W. Bush and confirmed by the Texas Senate.  In 1999, he joined the Texas Tech University System as deputy chancellor. 

Moses holds a Doctor of Education from Texas A&M University at Commerce.
